Why do I gain weight when I start a new exercise and diet program?
Whenever I start to work out and try to eat right I end up gaining about 5lbs, and after about a month, the extra weight still doesn’t go away. This ends up discouraging me to the point where I stop exercising as often and stop counting calories and when I go back to my old ways I go back down to the way I was when I started. If I knew the reason as to why this happens, I think I would be able to accept it and continue the exercise and diet routine.
When people stress, there is a hormone that increases belly fat. Dieting is stressful so this only increases hormone production. I can’t tell you not to stress out, but maybe relax mentally and exercise. Try doing at least 30 minutes of cardio. Your body will accumulate water weight and make you feel bloated, but it will go away. When starting new diets, your body is adjusting. Don’t get discouraged. Keep trying and make it into a habit, not something unpleasant and stressful.
