what fish do i feed my turtles?
ok so i have a red eared slider and a yellow belly turtle and i want to no all the types of live fish i can feed them since i heard they are natural hunters and its good exercise for them to chase the fish i already no they can eat rosy red minnows but they get those a lot i wanted to switch it up for them and what are other normal foods that will float lettuce will does anyone no others???
cucumber slices will float, along with most other vegetables when sliced. Or you can use a clip with a suction cup on one side to hold any non-floating, or even your floating, veggies in place so they won’t move around while your turtles try to eat them
Guppies make good food, along with small goldfish. The wild variety guppies are a lot cheaper than the fancy ones. If you really wanna splurge on their fish, any small tetras and such from the fish department will work. Also, I have noticed some turtles love
the little shrimp you can buy to help clean and “decorate” your tank. They are usually about 60 cents each, such as glass or ghost shrimp.
