How can I keep my race fitness during the winter months in the snow?
I was wondering if there are exercises to do to keep my endurance leg up because I live in a country-ish area so there are no streets to run. There is only one earth / gravel road and We have lots of snow. Does anyone know what my best option would be to improve and maintain my fitness?
You just take step back and realize that you do not finish a marathon and things slow down, do what you can when you can, if you can not do your usual miles so that's OK, just do what you can. On those really bad days of snow, you can always get a treadmill or stationary bike or simply take elected as un''jour off''. I myself am in all kinds of weather roads plowed or not British Columbia, I am in better condition come the spring time.
