Why does my ipod touch keep switching songs on me?
The usual iPod I use when working out is my video iPod from ’06 (it has way more memory so holds a lot more songs) but I also have a new iPod touch, but it seems like when I try to use that one while working out (I strap it to my arm by an armband case) it will only play 20 or so seconds of a song and then switch to another one. It seems like this only happens when I wear it while exercising, not if I’m just listening to it sitting on the train, etc. Do I have it on some mode that causes it to keep skipping around, or is this thing just too sensitive to movement and somehow it skips to the next song just because of that? And why does it do that thing where the whole screen flips to the side, and you can no longer see the pause, skip ahead, etc. buttons? I can’t quite figure out how to get out of that either.
I had the exact same problem; every time I moved, it changed song! What’s happening is when you shake the iPod, it changes song. To make it so movement of the iPod has no effect on the song, go to Settings –> Music –> then touch the ‘Shake to shuffle’ on/off button to change it.
