How to get rid of back pain

On a recent episode of severe pain in lower back, my physiotherapist put me on a during back exercises to relieve my back pain.

I must say I was a little surprised because I suffered so much, but it actually worked and helped me recover quickly.

The theory behind your back stretching – even if you have a bad back down – is that by extending the back muscles, you give relief to your back by taking the pressure on the affected areas.

If you have a herniated disc, and your physio perhaps you do back exercises for disc problems, because it lightens the pressure caused by the herniated disc on spinal nerves.

Exercising the back, I found most helpful was "the cat". In this exercise, you get on your hands and knees and arching back for a few seconds like a cat. When you do this, you can feel the stretch in your lower back.

Depending on the quantity pain than you are, your physiotherapist can recommend exercises lure back several times during the day. Do not exaggerate things well. The last thing you want is to re-injure yourself.

One of the most popular exercise programs lower back is the McKenzie exercises for the back. Robin McKenzie is a physiotherapist Famous New Zealand whose techniques have been practiced for many years.

McKenzie believes that people suffer from back pain due of poor posture or bending incorrectly while lifting. The book recommends a series of back exercises, including many safety drills lower back that help make the back more flexible by extending the spine and improve posture. (Note: talk to a doctor or physiotherapist before using this approach.)

One of the most popular items for back exercises is a Swiss ball, also known as a exercise ball or exercise ball. Low back exercises with a Swiss ball really give you a good stretch.

A word of caution however. When you start using a Swiss ball, take it easy. I slipped a few times and if I had a backache, it could be painful. But when you do lower back exercises on a Swiss ball, you'll love the feeling that the piece gives you.

If you like swimming or be in a pool, consider exercise programs that involve exercise back in a pool. You will find at your local YMCA or swimming pool.

What is good about doing back exercise in the pool, is that water takes the pressure off your back, giving you more freedom to move and stretch your back.

At first it seems strange to do exercises in your lower back is painful, but I learned that, depending on your situation, it can be one of the best things you can do to get on the road to recovery.
