Water tanks towards the future
The craze for rainwater tank that has swept across world was in full swing for over 5 years now and shows no sign of slowing down. With so much talk around the world on global warming in recent years, many homeowners are just beginning to notice the effects.

For example, Australia has only recently emerged from a period of drought extended and many areas are still suffering the effects. The effects of drought in rural areas have filtered down the urban areas with many large cities in Australia now affected by water restrictions.

The repayment was made to try to encourage consumers to take responsibility for their own use "non-essential water supplies. There is much easier and cheaper for the government to put everyone rainwater tanks for them to build new dams, not to mention better for our environment not flooding so much land and trees and changing the natural flow of rivers.
The establishment of reservoir Water rebates generated a boom in the rainwater tank industry with many now "global warming conscious" people jumping on the bandwagon and eco install a water tank. This has been a huge increase water tank manufacturing companies on the east coast of Australia trying to meet demand driven by the new urban market.
The water market reservoirs has been flooded (no pun intended) with tanks and under cutting the market is now very widespread. Ideal for the consumer but not to fight factory. Many manufacturers and dealers have closed their doors because of too much competition and that smart businesses are rising to the top take their share of the boom of tank water.
The rainwater tanks boom has also been great for the plumbing industry it is the law for your tank installed by a plumbing contractor license if you want to connect your tanks supplies for your home flushing toilets and washing clothes, etc.
It is also necessary to have a plumber sign on the tank installation to receive the maximum reimbursement offered by the government.
The windfall for other water tanks in the industry was the introduction of BASIX. BASIX is the Building Sustainability Index, which is an assessment tool developed by the NSW Government to ensure that natural resources as energy and water are conserved.
Simply, BASIX is designed to reduce the impacts of new housing on the environment. The BASIX tool is currently assessing the potential performance of new housing proposed cons of the various sustainability indices, including landscape, stormwater, water, thermal comfort and energy.
At a minimum, a new development must be able to demonstrate some commitments will use 40% less water supply, and 25% less energy than conventional buildings of the same type.
All new developments must now comply with BASIX regulations which means in the context of water reservoirs for everyone construction a new home or making major renovations.
This has injected a whole new line of prospects for the reseller and water tank factory itself. Manufacturers are now lining up to buy rain water tanks to have their property passed by building inspectors.
What a great number of manufacturers are discovering is that because of the strong demand for the availability of reservoirs rainwater is not as easy as picking up wood from the hardware.
Many tanks are manufactured in such demand that waiting of up to 12 weeks is common for some reservoirs. This period varies from time to time and the extreme, but a wait of 3 to 4 weeks normal.
You can get off the rack tanks faster if you know where to shop, but in these cases, you do not have the choice of location you connections are in place and get a limited choice of colors.
If you build a house or are you just want to have a water tank rain to ensure your reservoir, well before you need to avoid disappointment.
water tanks are there to stay, not a fad and something you'll see more and more in the suburban backyard from now on.
