Onions: The result of ill-fitting Shoes

A bunion is a bony bump on the side of the foot at the base of the big toe. This may be a problem isolated, but it is often associated with other problems with the shape of the foot.

The most common cause of onions is footwear that has not wide enough to accommodate the toes in their natural position. High heels are particularly to blame because they crush the toes in the closest to the front of the shoe.
