Three Steps To Senior Fitness
Exercise for seniors need not be complicated or hard. The main consideration is to proceed at your own pace and to evaluate your current condition. You will benefit as long as you're healthy enough and have permission from your doctor to begin.
Choose Enjoyable Activities
One thing that prevents many people since the beginning, they do not know how to motivate yourself to stick to a fitness program daily. Exercise Taken Pleasure is a way to make it part of your daily life. Find activities that you enjoy and do not seem to be a chore. This could include activities such as gardening, home and work, walking or hiking, and sports type such as biking, bowling, swimming, running even.
Set Small Goals
Setting targets for improvement is very important. You should start slowly with just a few goals in mind. Take time to be active for a fe
w minutes per day. It is equally effective to work for ten minutes three times a day as it is to spend thirty minutes at a time. So set a goal of breaking your sessions to make it easier to stick to your new exercise routine.
Although it is recommended that you spend an hour of concentrated activity each day, he did not need be formal. A simple walk thirty minutes a day is a great way to stay active. Once you're pretty good shape, you can even pass the race if you're so inclined. Working out four or five times a week is the goal, you should aim for. Initially, two to three days per week would be minimal. Keep in mind that initially it will take some effort to get in shape. Once you're in shape, it becomes much easier to stay fit.
You can stay motivated
Another way to motivate you to achieve your goals is to use a pedometer when walking. This can help you keep track of your progress as you increase your distance gradually over time.
Everyone likes to see progress. Keep a training log is another great way to help you stay motivated. Whatever type of activity you decide to undertake, write what you do every day you see your progress and set realistic goals that you continue.
Start your own level. Set goals to gradually improve your fitness level. As a Senior, you will be amazed at the progress you can do physically. An important priority in your life should be set targets for exercise regularly.
