Does anyone else think it is ironic that the borough of London to host the 2012 Olympics has only 4 gyms?!?
I live in Stratford in Newham (East London) and the Council are always banging on about how the Olympics will be held for local residents. I think it's just crazy that all this money is injected into a place that will not be able to nurture its budding athletes. For now the shortest route possible my closest gym is 40 minutes (providing the buses are on time) because there are only 4 in the whole district, and, as a matter of fact, Ma gym closest is not even in Newham! How everyone is the time to go another trip to the gym? When is Fitness First / LA Fitness / Holmes Place / Esporta will start to open gyms in my area? "
What's really ironic is that the country hosting the Games 2012 was not a decent athlete. I am British by the way …
