Garmin Forerunner GPS Watches – What do you think of them?
I am interested in buying a Garmin Forerunner GPS watch (watch gym). It is based on GPS, so it is tracking your specific tracks. Before I drop $ 150 + on one of these I just wanted to know someone who uses one if they wanted to recommend getting one. If yes, where are you? I am leaning towards a Forerunner 305 model. Thank you in advance for your answers.
I can not offer much info on the 305, but I have a Forerunner 405 model. I have been using it for about 6 months now and I would probably buy again if I ever do. I do not know how familiar are you with these GPS watches, but you probably already know that they can keep track your distance, pace, time, lap time and much more. If you train more than once a week and wished to retain historical data of your training, you would probably be useful to have one. I chose the 405 over the 305 mainly because the 405 looks more like a "real" shows I can wear it on a daily basis. Other than that, they pretty much the same thing. Hope that helps.
