Is this a good fitness and workout?
I'm only 14 so I do not want to do more than anything. I do weights twice a week. On Sunday, I do UPS press (3 sets of 20) and then do some dumbbell curls (3 sets of 12), then on Wednesday I do my abs and my back. I also jog every day. Is this good? I am only young and a beginner. Do you think I see any improvement in my muscle strength and size? How can I improve my program? Thank you
Tommy is an idiot, there is no proof that lifting weights will affect the growth of any person 14 years and is debated whether it is still possible for people under 14. I started lifting when I was 14 and I'm 6'3 "(191cm) If there is any way to get a membership to the gym you should want to use Freeweights on at least 65% of your exercises. Need to bench press at different angles and squats. Keep running three times a week for 35-45 minutes on high. Your goal should range REP be 8 reps (capable of less than 7 years to clear the next time, more than 9: go heavier) then you need more resistance = free weights.
