Why can not I stay afloat in the pool?
I've never been a swimmer expecially confident, despite having lessons for most of my childhood. Having lost some weight (around 2 stones) and greatly improved my physical condition since the beginning of the year I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, I still find swimming incredibly hard work. I'm frustrated that I can run for 30 minutes a decent pace, but I'm tired and short of breath after a two lengths of the pool. It just seems to sink and struggle to stay afloat. A friend of mine, whose fitness levels are very good, recently told me that he has the same problem. So I wonder, what factors affect the dynamics, and is there a way to help keep me afloat (short of digging armbands my childhood 
) I am now assuming that this is not just down to health and fitness, as people in much worse than I seem able to swim comfortably. This problem can be overcome, or it is simply evil genetic?
get some lessons can be your style of swimming strokes and even adults can get basic lessons in swimming. Probably more than any thing in your case, its your swimming stroke
