Abdominal cramps during exercise?

A few times, I developed moderate abdominal cramps when I was using ellipitical trainer for about 20 minutes. I should stop exercising immediately. For the next 10-15 minutes I have bad abdominal cramps and sometimes have a bowel movement. I also vomited. The first time this ever happened I felt weak and felt like my blood pressure has decreased (although I do not know if it does). So now when I feel that these cramps are coming, I'll sit in the toilets to they are gone and I feel better. Curiously, this only occurs when you use the trainer ellipitcal, not in performance or other aerobic activities. I exercised for 20 minutes when this happens. I think I can take my work outside after about 15-20 minutes of sitting quietly. Any idea what this could be and how to avoid it? I am well hydrated, warmed, breathing okay. For breakfast I have a Slim-Fast shake. Did – talked to many doctors and fitness and they have no idea.

The only thing that I see based on your symptoms, it can be a problem of blood pressure (too low or too high). The bowl movement (vertigo some disorientation and what not?) May also indicate heart problems. You need to get whats called "stress test". Then they you run on (treadmill, or insert dye, but you seem fairly mobile for the treadmill) and follow your heart and blood pressure carefully. Also, please try to do a good heating and cooling during exercise. You may be moving too fast, too soon. Let your heart and time to adjust the endocrine system. Give Yourself 5 minute warm up and cool 5 minutes. The elliptical trainer may be where you tend to go too fast. I was on one of these myself and it can be quite exhausting. Hope that helps.
