Exercise Tapes Vhs
Learning Belly dancing from a DVD or t.v. instructional?
I would like to learn belly dancing or middle-eastern dance, however, I want to start with a DVD or VHS tape to familiarize myself with the technique.
Is it just me or do others have a problem as well in learning dance moves or aerobics from an instructor who faces the audience? I find it works much, much better (and makes more sense) to have the teacher’s back to me during the teaching part of the exercise or dance routine. Does such a thing even exist or do all belly dancing tapes teach with the teacher facing the viewer? Thanks.
Every DVD I have shows the instructor facing toward the audience. One of the best instruction set I have is the Fitness Fusion set by Suhaila. It has 4 DVD’s and she is very good about explaining the moves. Your best bet to learn might be to find an instructor in you area. Good teachers have several ways of teaching each move so that everyone gets it, and they are willing to face forward, backward, or sideways so you can get it. Good luck
