Is the Stepper Exercising Machine an effective tool to lose weight?

and I was wondering if it is a effective tool to lose weight?
How much weight would I lose in a month if I work out on the Stepper every day for 45 minutes and ate healthily? (max. 1800 calories)
I also want to know if it’ll bulk or slim down my calves..
How fast I’d have to move..

I had a stepper but it did nothing but bulk up my calf muscles and made my legs look bulky. I got a treadmill instead and got a much better fat burning workout and weight loss result. As for how much will you lose is hard to say because everyones body reacts differently.
