Exercise Floor Mats Gym Mat
What surface should I do my vertical jumping exercises on?
Starting November Im gonna go to the gym to really increase my vert jump. Im gonna be doing jump squats, lunges, and other various plyometric drills. The gym I go to basically has 3 different surfaces, wooden floor, solid tiles, or the solid tiles with light carpeting over it. I definitely know that tiles are out of the question, but which of the two, (wooden or tiles with light carpeting over it) would be the best for my health? Or should I just land on a exercise mat? I dont wanna mess up my ankles or anything so I would like to know this before I start out my program. Thanks
If the gym does not have matts to jump on then figure out the softest surface, you know you want to land on something that is soft so you don’t injure yourself.
An exercise matt would be better than the floor.
