Must-Have Basic Ab Equipment at Home
There are many benefits in doing the ab exercise at home and not in the gym. Saving money from the expensive gym fees may just be one of these. However, what can demotivate you from doing it is that you may not have the right ab exercise equipment at home. Instead of paying for the exorbitant gym fees, it would be wiser if you buy instead all the equipment and bring them to your own place for personal use. You must however not choose those that may be too elaborate and at the same time too costly as well. Only pick those that are most basic.
The most fundamental may just be the cheapest too, the floor mat. With the use of this, you can do some exercises to develop the muscles in the abdominal parts by merely relying on the floor and the weight. The mat will protect your back bones from the hard floor and, of course, will keep you from being dirty. Another basic ab exercise equipment you can have at home is the kettle balls. They have a variety of sizes and weights but they must not be bought at one time. If you are merely a starter in the ab fitness program, start with the small and lighter ones first.
One mechanism is the chin-up bar which you would not want to buy. You probably already have an overhanging bar at home that you can make use for chinning-up. If there isn’t one, you simply buy a stainless steel bar which is durable enough to carry your weight that can be installed at any place in the house. You can place it on a door jamb but you may find it hard to close the door. A big exercise ball makes a cheap buy. This is also another basic ab exercise equipment that you can put at home.
If you are, however, interested to gain a more advanced equipment then you may have to spend a bit more. But then again you must not go for the larger and much more advanced ones unless you have enough space for them at home or if you’re way beyond the starter level. Some of the best options you can have are the rowing machine and the vertical knee raise machine. The machines are not that huge but they are able to provide great results for your ab-shaping exercises which is important.
