Exercise Dips
Taking exercise another step up…Dip Bars…?
Hi, looking to purchase Dip Bars for a workout. Would this be something to invest in, or should just look into exercises at the gym? Pros or cons. Thanks for any feedback.
Thanks for the feedback. Looked into the power tower type products because there is no way to set up a pull up bar. Would it be possible to set up suspension rings on structure like that?
One of my best investments and regular pieces of equipment was a Pull-up, Dip “Power Tower” like this one:

(Not exactly this model, but same basic design.)
Dips are really good for building your arms and shoulders. I see better results when I use this than any free weights. Between dips and chin-ups, you can hit most of the major muscle groups of your upper body.
The only two cons to having this kind of equipment are cost and space requirements. It isn’t the kind of equipment you can slide under the bed or put in a closet.
If I didn’t get something like this, I’d probably invest in either gymnast rings that you can adjust the height for different workouts (and find a place to mount them in the garage) or a TXR Suspension Trainer. I could hit similar movements with those devices and not have to take up as much room.
