Is there a risk level from a laser cat toy?
There are so few cat toys that my cat really engages with, so when I saw a laser pet toy and exerciser product at Walgreens, I bought it immediately. It’s basically a housing that you put three batteries into, and when you push the button you get a laser beam, which my cat really liked. The manufacturer has complied with regulations and included a warning label. I assume the danger is if you look directly into the laser light, but I wonder if there is a risk associated with the refracted laser beam itself. Its a Class III laser product, wave length 654 nm, maximum power < 5mw. Any feedback on this product is appreciated.
It’s a great toy for cats. The biggest risk is to the eyes.
