Fitness classes to make me more flexible?

Hi there, I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, but Id really be more flexible (especially in the legs) I'd like to be able to do the splits and being able to lift my leg on the side. I can not even touch my toes when I am so inflexible. My question is, can I get more flexible or do you need double jointed? What would be the best sort of fitness classes to join (as a beginner)? I am a woman aged 30 years. Thank you very much x

Join any What Martial Arts classes. Many gym offer some sort of kickboxing or tae kwon do sessions calendar. The first part of the class is usually stretching, where sometimes you're teamed with a partner and then you stretch yourself. Then the kicks and punches activities make you more flexible, not to mention more tone. Yoga is also good to increase flexiability. Good luck.
